Require a system to control
your accruals for your accounts software?
At the
same time as entering the accrual into your accounts
system, enter the accrual into the Accruals Register
along with details of the accrual period and
expense (or income) account.
Enter the
accrued bill into the Accruals Register when it arrives,
so that it can be included in any adjustments on the
period end journal.
When
completing month end accounts, select the accounting
period in the Accruals Register and print off the
journal details for the selected accounting period.
At the same time, a accrual control account
reconciliation can also be printed.
