Management Accounts automated spreadsheet.A company wanted to have an automated Management Accounts
system put in place so that once the accounts have been
finalised for the accounting period, they could 'just
press a button' to see all their management information
such as Profit and Loss statements and Balance Sheet.
The spreadsheet was
linked to their Exchequer Enterprise accounting software
using OLE technology. This is a live link so as
soon as a figure changes in the accounting software, it
changes in the spreadsheet with no human intervention.
When opening the
spreadsheet, the user would select which period of the
accounts they would like to look at.
The Profit and Loss
reports were put in different formats, all as summary
and detailed:
Figures for each
period going across the page.
Comparison figures
against targets and last years figures for current
period, year to date and predicted year end.
Revenue detailed by
branch.
Since we
have done the above, we have done the same for other
companies with the spreadsheets either linking directly
into their accounting software, or where trial balances
are entered into the spreadsheets to produce all the
reports automatically.
